When do you ship orders? / What is your handling time?
Vedaroots orders are processed, shipped, and delivered on business days: Monday-Friday (excluding weekends and major holidays).
Please allow 2-4 business days for processing depending on product availability and order volume. For example: orders placed Thursday after 12pm, may not ship until Wednesday morning.
How handling time is calculated: The first business day will be calculated according to how we process and ship orders according to the following schedule (all times are Eastern Standard Time):
– Orders placed by 11:59 AM IST – First business day will be the next business day.
– Orders placed after 12:00 PM IST – First business day will be in 2 business days.
– Orders placed between 6:00 PM IST Friday and 7:00 AM Monday – Tuesday will be the first business day
How long will shipping take?
On average, 4-10 business days. However, delays may be possible through the holiday season.
We generate a tracking number when we go to pack your order. This does NOT mean it is shipped yet. This means that we have printed your label and are preparing it to be shipped to you. Please use your link to track your package in the future.
What Qualifies for Free Shipping?
we regret that we will no longer offer free shipping on all orders. Our Free Shipping offer was based on costs pre-pandemic. However, during and post-pandemic, our shipping costs have gone up exponentially, and we are no longer at a point were we can subsidize the cost. We do intend to bring back our free shipping offer as soon as the market becomes more stable. Our decision to remove free shipping was not made lightly, and it is a reaction to what is happening in the market. We know this is frustrating to many customers, which is why, in order to keep shipping costs lower, we will continue to offer a flat rate shipping fee of Rs.100 on orders below Rs.1000. And orders above Rs.1000 are eligible for Free Shipping. You will be given the applicable options at checkout.
How is shipping cost calculated?
Shipping charges are based on both weight and distance. Shipping is not a profit center for us. We package each box carefully using recycled and biodegradable packaging materials (whenever possible) to prevent breakage for these handcrafted products. We don’t even cover our shipping and packaging costs in most cases. Unlike many other online retailers, we cannot offer free shipping at lower thresholds. Many such retailers cover the shipping cost by charging you more for the products. We provide you the products at the best possible rate and provide you with reasonable shipping options which are calculated for your review during checkout process.
My package is delayed. What do I do?
Please plan for 10 business days from the date of your order for your package to be delivered. While we always feel bad when your package is delayed, circumstances with the shipping agency that are beyond our control have been causing ongoing delays. This will be exacerbated during the holiday season.
Please keep in mind that we are NOT a Shipping agency. We pass your package onto the available carrier, and once it leaves our warehouse, we cannot control the delivery time. Please check your tracking number and contact the carrier directly for a faster response to check the location of your package before contacting us.
My package arrived damaged. What do I do?
If your package is damaged in transit, we will reship it at no cost to you using the same shipping method.
My order was returned to you. Now what?
If your package is returned to us by the carrier due to damage, we will reship it at no additional cost to you. If your shipped package returns back to us due to an incorrect shipping address or other issues regarding your delivery location, then you have two options:
- OPTION 1: Accept a refund, minus the original shipping cost.
- OPTION 2: Pay the shipping cost again to reship the package to a corrected address.

We typically reply to email or text within 4-6 hours during our business hours. We are a small team and a family business, and your patience is appreciated.

All of our facilities have the highest levels of food and employee safety certifications, strictly following GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices). Nevertheless, we are reinforcing adherence to our rigorous and established hygiene processes and increasing sanitation measures throughout. We will continue to stay at the forefront of best manufacturing and shipping practices. Additionally, any employees who exhibit symptoms or feel unwell are encouraged to stay home and rest. The health of our employees and our larger community is our utmost concern.
We offer a minimum of 6 months of remaining shelf life on all the products that we sell, unless mentioned otherwise on a product’s page. If you prefer a longer shelf life then you must contact us before placing an order.
Flat Rate Shipping
We offer this shipping option as a way for our customers to save money on the shipping cost. While preparing your order for shipping, if we find that the products you have purchased will not safely fit in the Flat Rate Box selected, we will contact you for other shipping options.
